With the release last week of CMS’ final rule for the Medicare Shared-Savings Program, many clinical integration (CI) programs may be wondering what the changes mean for them. Our take: with lower eligibility hurdles and less onerous participation criteria, joining the program is now a more attractive prospect for providers, and CI programs especially—already down the road toward building a care management infrastructure—should take a second look.
