Providing incentives to front office staff is relatively rare: In a recent Council survey of patient access and revenue cycle directors, less than one in four respondents indicated that they currently offer monetary incentives to front office staff for point-of-service (POS) collections. Yet, many of those who have introduced these incentives can point to positive results. This article outlines how one program has overcome typical implementation challenges to launch a successful front office staff incentive system.
