
Laurie serves as Senior Vice President and Practice Leader for Southwind’s Accountable Care practice. In this role she leads a blended team of attorneys and consultants building physician-hospital networks capable of delivering value-based care, and is the firm’s leading expert in the creation of Clinical Integration programs. She also serves as Executive Director of The Advisory Board Company and is responsible for overseeing the development and management of new programs and services, including the cultivation of new business opportunities for the firm within the areas of Accountable Care and overall physician alignment strategy.
Across her 12 years with The Advisory Board Company, Laurie has played leadership roles within the H*Works Consulting, Talent Development, and Business Intelligence divisions, with responsibilities ranging across the full spectrum of client service activities: product development, service delivery, program management, and business development.
Laurie holds an MPH in Health Care Management from Harvard University, an MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University, and a BA in History and Psychology from Cornell University.
Before coming to the Advisory Board, Laurie served as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, focusing primarily on growth and profit improvement projects. Prior to joining McKinsey, Laurie practiced for over a decade as a clinical psychologist and administrative director at McLean Hospital, where she also served as Clinical Instructor within the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
