Alicia leads best practices research on hospital strategic and operational challenges. Her areas of study have included hospital strategic planning, marketing, philanthropy, nursing, and human resources strategies. Her recent research includes: Ambulatory Care Network of the Future, Strengthening Partnerships with Finance and Marketing, Hallmarks of the Integrated System Development Organization, Towards Evidence-Based Staffing, Transitioning New Graduates to Hospital Practice, and Building the Nurse-Physician Partnership.
Alicia holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Columbia University and an MBA from Georgetown University. She has also led research studies for the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Defense, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
